Donate Today to Support End Period Poverty

Education shouldn’t be paused because of a lack of menstrual hygiene management products. In Kenya, many girls miss school due to period poverty, and this absenteeism leads to poor performance and dropping out of school, forcing them into early marriages and early childbearing, with no future socioeconomic prospects. Your support today can change this reality. Donating to our campaign will give these girls in Mandera County, Kenya the means to manage their periods safely and with dignity through improved access to menstrual hygiene products.

WASH
Leveraging our extensive technical expertise, we have successfully established sustainable access to safe and clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services for both displaced persons and host communities in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

We focus on bringing clean water, dignified sanitation facilities, and effective hygiene practices to various settings, including communities, schools, and healthcare centers.

By providing access to clean water, particularly for girls, we contribute to increased school attendance, as they no longer need to spend time collecting water.

Moreover, parents, especially mothers, can allocate more time to providing for their families. Access to safe, private toilets and handwashing facilities with soap safeguards children and families from disease, fostering healthier communities …Read More

EDUCATE DISPLACED CHILDREN IN SOMALIA FOR A YEAR

Our initiative provides education to children displaced by drought and insecurity in Somalia. In displaced persons camps, we establish safe schools that provide nutritious meals while in school, as well as writing materials and textbooks for the children. Adolescent girls facing unique challenges, receive sanitary pads, enabling consistent school attendance. Through education, we break the cycle of poverty, empowering these resilient children to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST PERIOD POVERTY

This initiative aims to provide dignity kits to 3,000 vulnerable adolescent girls in local primary and secondary schools in Mandera County, Kenya. In this county, girls face significant barriers to accessing education, including period poverty. The dignity kits consist of a package of reusable sanitary pads, soap, and panties. Supporting their menstrual management will ensure that they can attend school consistently, improve their performance, and maintain their health and dignity.
